Voices Festival: Algowatch highlighted in MIL roundtable

At the Voices Festival, held in Zagreb from February 27th to March 1st, the Algowatch project was prominently featured during the round table discussion, “Media Information Literacy making of: what does it take to succeed against all odds?”

Organized and moderated by Savoir Devenir, the event aimed to provide insights to media information literacy (MIL) practitioners and interested participants on the challenges and strategies for successful MIL project implementation. Aphra Kerr, representing Algowatch, joined other European MIL actors to present the project’s strategies, challenges, and resources, engaging in a dynamic Q&A session with the audience.

The Voices Festival, funded by the European Union, is a pioneering event designed to reshape public interaction with information. This year’s Zagreb edition, the second after its debut in Florence in February 2024, featured over 70 speakers, curated sessions, interactive workshops, exhibitions, shows, movies, and networking opportunities.

Savoir Devenir, a consortium partner of the Voices Festival, utilized the platform to showcase the Algowatch project, test its resources with diverse audience segments, and gather valuable feedback. The discussion underscored Algowatch’s role in equipping citizens with the tools to navigate the evolving media landscape.
