Resources produced by the Algowatch project team, including quizzes, eye openers, and a video game, were validated in the Azores from 18 to 20 November 2024, during sessions with journalists and librarians. This initiative followed a collaboration with the Protocol Centre for Professional Training for Journalists, the regional delegation of the Journalists’ Union in the Azores, and the Public Library and Regional Archive of Ponta Delgada. Approximately 20 participants engaged in the sessions, facilitating an in-depth analysis of the project’s objectives and the beta versions of the resources, with the feedback collected leading to several enhancements.
Additionally, in collaboration with the Regional Secretariat for Education of the Azores Government and Cenjor, a continuous teacher training course titled “Media, Algorithm, and Artificial Intelligence Literacy for All” was launched, starting on 24 October 2024 and concluding on 29 January 2025. Within this training initiative, the resources produced by the project team are being validated. Furthermore, some participating teachers will conduct resource validation workshops with students aged 13 to 17.
