The Algowatch project was presented during the virtual meeting of the Media Literacy Expert Group of the European Commission, held on 24 November 2023, in which also participated representatives of the European Digital media Observatory (EDMO) as well as of the 14 regional EDMO hubs, whose mission is to tackle disinformation.

The presentation was given by the principal investigator of Algowatch, Divina Frau-Meigs, who outlined the project, the link to the Crossover project, the theoretical model on which Algowatch is based, and the main deliverables, including a set of interactive quizzes, a game with missions focused on algo-literacy competences and experiences, an exhibit, a toolkit for transfer and scientific publications.
